Michael the Archangel has a less earthly story than most Catholic saints, and is a legendary favorite of knights and warriors. He is honored not only by Christians, but Jews also, and his appearances in the Bible are plenty.

In Judeo-Christian and Moslem religions, Arch Angel Michael is God's angel who threw Lucifer out of the Heavens. He considered a Guardian and God's 'general'.

In Islam, the archangels are Michael or Mikael (Archangel of the Weather, Rain and Plant growing), Gabriel or Jibril (who brought the Koran to Muhammad), Azrael (Angel of Death)- The name Azrael is a common name, however no scriptures mention this name. The mentioned name is "Angel of Death", Israfil or Isra'afeel (Archangel who is to blow the horn on Judgment Day), Malik (Keeper of Hell), Munkar and Nakir (Angels of Interrogation that will question deceased souls on their life before their death) and Radwan (Keeper of Heaven) Neither Israfil nor Azrael are mentioned in the Qu'ran.
The Holy Quran - Chapter Al-Baqarah (The Cow) 2:98 Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and apostles, to Gabriel and Michael,- Lo! Allah is an enemy to those who reject Faith.
The Holy Quran - Chapter At-Tahrem (The Banning) 66:4 If ye two turn in repentance to Him, your hearts are indeed so inclined; But if ye back up each other against him, truly Allah is his Protector, and Gabriel, and (every) righteous one among those who believe,- and furthermore, the angels - will back (him) up.
Al-Hadith - Sayings of the holy Prophet Muhammad Book Sahih Bukhari (English Translation by M. Muhsin Khan)
001.012.794 - Characteristics of Prayer - - - -
Narrated Shaqlq bin Salama:
'Abdullah said, "Whenever we prayed behind the Prophet we used to recite (in sitting) 'Peace be on Gabriel, Michael, peace be on so and so. Once Allah's Apostle looked back at us and said, 'Allah Himself is As-Salam (Peace), and if anyone of you prays then he should say, At-Tahiyatu lil-lahi wassalawatu wat-taiyibatu. AsSalamu 'alalika aiyuha-n-Nabiyu wa rahmatu-l-lahi wa barakatuhu. As-Salam alaina wa ala ibadil-lah is-salihin. (All the compliments, prayers and good things are due to Allah: peace be on you, O Prophet and Allah's mercy and blessings be on you. Peace be on us an on the true pious slaves of Allah). (If you say that, it will be for all the slaves in the heaven and the earth). Ash-hadu an la-ilaha illa-l-lahu wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa Rasuluhu. (I testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and I also testify that Muhammad is His slave and His Apostle)."
It should be noted that angels are genderless and light-based creatures, created by God to serve and worship God. Belief in angels is one of the beliefs in Islam or faith without which there is no faith. Whoever does not believe in any of these 6 faiths or beliefs is not a believer (mu’min). These pillars are belief in: God, His angels, His Books, His Messengers, the Last Day, and that predestination, both good and bad, comes from God.
The Holy Quran - Chapter Isra (The Night Journey, Children of Israel) 17: 95 "Say, 'If there were settled, on earth, angels walking about in peace and quiet, We should certainly have sent them down from the heavens an angel for a messenger.'"

This is very hard to belief. The name means "One like GOD", angels are not like GOD but CHRIST certainly is! He is the prince of life, the prince of the Christians, the prince of life, while Satan is called the prince of this world. The book "The Great Controversy between Christ and Satan by E.G.White explains it very well. Christ is GOD made flesh. J.C. has so many names. They really worth studying. GOD bless.
