My Daughter (6 yrs old) recently won a costume contest at a Renaissance Faire, and was honored by being a “Princess for a Day”. The Faire people were beyond wonderful, they actually did treat my daughter like a princess. We would like to thank some of the members with a small gift. Several people gave my daughter a "favor" a small token to identify all that see it that you are a friend of the person giving the "favor" The favors were small pins to ware on the costumes. I would like to do the same, but not sure what would be appropriate to this time period and that would show our gratitude. Any ideas? We had thought of flowers, but with the heat and not sure if they would want to carry something extra, did not know if this would be a good idea. I do a lot of sewing and crafts, so making something would not be a problem. Thank you for your ideas and comments.

well gandhiji had led us to freedom but the contribution of these people are more significant- nehru led the free india and helped it to recover from severe crisis. In the same way bose ,bhagat and many more sacrificed their lives for india....so why public sympathy to gandhi??

According to the book "The Human Story",an american ship sailed into edo, threatening to deliver "with force" the trade message if the japanese didn't accept it peacefully. The ship then said the americans would return in a year with a larger force for an answer. Was America really planning on attacking if the japanese didn't agree to trade?

It is often said that Filipinos has a damaged culture that never stand alone but a culmination of different cultures introduced by those who invaded the country. I could easily mention the culture of the spaniards I hate most are siesta time,procession, religious belief,saints and too much unproductive time strolling the park and malls The chinos introduced us to corruption and piracy, while the Americans have corrupted the very root of our moraility. The Japanese brought us the meaning of discipline ,brutality and dedication. Perhaps, just like in all the history of many nations only a bloody civil war spearheaded by a true dedicated leader will successfully move the nation forward by expelling all the bad elements dominating our society.
