well gandhiji had led us to freedom but the contribution of these people are more significant- nehru led the free india and helped it to recover from severe crisis. In the same way bose ,bhagat and many more sacrificed their lives for india....so why public sympathy to gandhi??

just cos he was assassinated we sympathise him and nehru died naturally so criticise him?????

I think that you answered your own question. Gandhi's greatness was not only that he led the country to freedom but HOW he did it.
His principles saved India from a potentially catastrophic internal conflict and divisions, exploding hatred, and vendettas of all ilks.
I am not Indian so I would appreciate knowing your thoughts on these comments. Thanks.

cos thats wad schools taught us.
schools teach mostly about gandhi nia.
