Hey, I'm struggling on a couple of physics questions regarding radioactive decay, if you could help me out that'd be great

1. The radioactive isotope 198Au has a half-life of 64.8 hr. A sample containing this isotope has an initial activity (t = 0) of 40.0 µCi. Calculate the number of nuclei that decay in the time interval between t1 = 10.0 hr and t2 = 12.0 hr.

2. In a piece of rock from the Moon, the 87Rb content is assayed to be 1.81×1010 atoms per gram of material, and the 87Sr content is found to be 1.06×109 atoms per gram. Calculate the age (in years) of the rock. Do not enter unit. 87Rb decays to 87Sr by beta decay with a half life of 4.75×1010 years.

I can't stand the guy but the backlash is retarded and over-the-top. When was the last time these people took in or fed a stray animal, yet they act like they are spokespeople for PETA. And half of them eat meat provided by inhumane means.

This is the epitome of hypocrisy. Yes, it's bad he's behind a dogfighting ring, but when's the last time you ate a juicy hamburger or wore a leather belt? Get over yourself because it looks really dumb.

I want to apply for a car loan, but am afraid I will get turned down. I have all of my credit cards paid off, but have around $12,000.00 in student loans and owe $4,000.00 on the car I am currently driving. I only make around $27,000.00 a year. Will my debt to income ratio be too high?

I feel like writing a letter to my congress man & just keep sending them until something changes. I’m sick and tired of working MY butt off and being drugfree while people are using their welfare checks & NOT working so they can spend MY hard earned tax money on drugs.

So, in a sense, I am buying drugs for these drug addicted fiends. I am in NO WAY insinuating that everyone on welfare does drugs, but I am suggesting we drug test anyone who receives government help.

If I have to take a drug test to work, then anyone receiving my money should have to take a drug test to receive welfare checks.

I have seen this question/comment a couple times on here & people say 'what about the children?' & 'what about the money spent on testing?'

1st, if the parents are using the $ for drugs, the kids aren't seeing the $ in the first place. 2nd, lots of people would be denied b/c of the tests.

Lastly, being poor does not mean you can avoid/abuse the law by buying drugs & using them.

Like, I posted a q just wondering what people would rate me(for the first time ever, I don't like that sorta thing but I was bored), and theres always someone that wants to be mean to those kinds of questions isnt there? Of course I understand if the girl thinks shes all that and thinks shes better than everyone else, or loves herself and comes accross as self-centered, then they probably deserve some negative comments. But I did NOT do that. It's like they study the picture carefully, look for something that stands out to be mean about(with their really bad ways of 'seeing' things) and then make a comment on it, completey ignoring anything nice/positive to say. I also seem to be getting more snidy looks off them in public. Girls tend to be more mean than guys, the ones that b*tch and make fun of people the most. Girls are real b*tches to eachother, don't you agree? I think a lot of the time its probably jealously.

This news story has also been covered in various tabloids across the UK. This cat, called Oscar, apparently senses when a person at the dementia care home will die. He will then go and purr quietly and sit on their bed with them until they pass away. He has done this with a 100% success rate. Is this pure chance or does Oscar the Cat have some strange and mystical power that we are unaware of ?
