I could be in a love relationship and still go do things with a female friend but not cross any kind of line. You might refer to it as a date while I call it hanging out. Just because you get involved in a relationship doesn't mean you push everyone of the opposite sex out of your life.

If in you mind you are open to sexual intimacy then I would call that cheating because of intent. Stay away from all that. Spending quality time, intimate time, emotions and such without the want for more lets you know that you're into your own sig. other.
