Why do people feel it is their right and responsibility to protect ME from myself?
If I choose to smoke, but respect others rights to not have my smoke around them, Why can they can drive their cars and pollute the air my children breath without feeling guilty, or be responsible for the cancer that comes from their pollution?
If I choose to have a toke, or drink in my own home, not drive or disturb the public, why does the public feels it their responsibility to tell me I am doing wrong, all the while getting their "drugs" from their doctors and driving to the store or park etc..?
I choose to live without infringing on others rights, liberties, or happiness, but others feel they have the right to tell me how to live, according to their own moral standards.
When does personal responsibility allow you to do as you please without interference from others?
