Why do people feel it is their right and responsibility to protect ME from myself?

If I choose to smoke, but respect others rights to not have my smoke around them, Why can they can drive their cars and pollute the air my children breath without feeling guilty, or be responsible for the cancer that comes from their pollution?

If I choose to have a toke, or drink in my own home, not drive or disturb the public, why does the public feels it their responsibility to tell me I am doing wrong, all the while getting their "drugs" from their doctors and driving to the store or park etc..?

I choose to live without infringing on others rights, liberties, or happiness, but others feel they have the right to tell me how to live, according to their own moral standards.

When does personal responsibility allow you to do as you please without interference from others?

There are Two Family's.
1. The Family of LOST.
2. The Family of SAVED.
We are all in the Family of LOST by Virtue of Being Born on the EARTH---till we get SAVED (change Family's).

We all Affect Each Other. Whether Lost or Saved.

There are Two Body's on the EARTH.
1. The Body of the Devil.
2. The Body of CHRIST.
I wouldn't take my Left Foot and Kick my Right Foot on Purpose, it would Hurt.
And if I was Doing it for What-Ever Reason, I would hope Somebody of Either Family or Body, would come and Stop me and try to Help.
And If I started Kicking somebody Else's Foot, I would Probably get Locked-Up.
There are about 6 Billion People on this EARTH at this time.

Everybody know's it ain't Right to Kick your own Foot.
Or Somebody Else's.
Hope this helps.

Everyone has to be responsibl but it's sad to say that human nature is otherwise. there is a tendency to look into other households and be happy. It's very bad but we can't help it.
Anyways as long as u feel u r doing the right thing no need to bother about others and break ur head...

properly... i imagine you're making generalizations about subject matters that are a lot more desirable complicated. operating example, *some* instructors do staggering artwork and do make certain their youngsters can study and could notify the mum and dad if their baby remains falling in the back of. different instructors are basically scraping through the day, no longer fairly worrying. And *some* mum and dad will do their section through finding out on up slack at domicile, at the same time as others do exactly not, or gained't. each from time to time the textile fairly is weird and wonderful and the teachings are not sparkling. each from time to time we've undesirable days, even undesirable years, and absolutely everyone round us finally ends up having to handle that. yet definite, i imagine shirking own duty is a sizable problem, a marginally stressful one. yet some sectors of society do more desirable helpful than others. on the problem of someone no longer having the flexibility to get into ANY college, each from time to time the way society is determined up fairly is accountable. at the same time as a baby grows up in a extremely disfunctional domicile and falls through the cracks and fails, he remains a baby. He won't be able to be anticipated to prevail, or he's pretty known if he does. He nevertheless CAN bypass to varsity, yet he will likely bypass at the same time as he's matured slightly, gotten older and wiser, lengthy gone decrease back and accrued the products of his existence and gotten on with issues. See what I mean through it really is perplexing to generalize? diverse human beings all act and react differenly to similar circumstances. the base line is, it really is nevertheless as a lot because the man to make something from their lives - without or with the help of society. If someone is prepared it really is plausible. some will do it swifter, some slower, yet we can all take duty. So, definite, I agree, yet with some interest for information how perplexing it would want to be each from time to time. desire i have not been too puzzling! aside: yet another problem to gas the fireplace is that western societies do not position a lot emphasis on the flexibility of severe wondering. how will you're making sturdy options in case you've by no skill heard of exploring each and each of the options and evaluating them? we are bombarded with each and each of the solutions to existence's issues, yet we no longer regularly imagine to question those solutions... Oof, that makes me sense gloomy.

you do have a point. but how can you be so sure that others are unaffected by what you do? it that really is the case, then of course you should do as you please, but remember that independantly of other people, you're still answerable to God, always, at every moment of your life.

so if others really are not affected by your actions, by all means, do what you please and don't let nobody dictate sh*it to you. just remember God sees you, and only He deserves justifications and answers from you. other people are full of crap most of the time anyway. if you live by their wishes, you'll never be okay.

personally, i embrace personal responsibility completely, and i don't let it be tainted by nobody. i always do what i please, trying my best to not involve nobody in the process and to never make someone pay for what i do.

however, as a muslim, my freedom stops when i'm faced with a definite divine command to not do something. then i don't, not because of people (i don't care about 'em) but because i know God sees me, and i don't wanna disobey Him and be an ungrateful and chronically disobedient servant to Him. that's it.

That's a really good question and I've wondered the same things myself. You have to be yourself and do what makes you happy, as long as you are doing these things in the comfort of your home, why does it matter what others think about it?

I don't know, I agree that there should really only be intervention when someone might harm another person. It's sort of like the seatbelt laws - the government needs to force us to take care of ourselves?
