I arrive with Eurostar to Waterloo station in the morning and will have around 10hrs. I'd like to visit the shopping area/street, nothing too fancy, eat cheap small tasty food.

Can anybody recommend anything for London?
Finally, is London Eye worth taking? It costs 12 GBP, so I am hesitating.

i'll arrive to london in mid september, and all the guide books and web sites suggest the same things i know all about the big ben, tower of london and stuff like that, but i'd also like to check out other stuff like a few markets maybe local festivals at the time. something that isn't in the regular tourist books.
thanks.

Thanks

How am I going to survive without my hand held luggage on flights containing all my girlie bits and bobs, have to carry tampons in a see through bag, what is this world coming to. What do you think about today's news and the nutcase British born asian psychos that we have living amongst us who want to blow us up when we go on holiday. No stupid answers please, this is a serious matter.

This is a work transfer and should have about 3000 per month to spend in rent. I am looking for a high class neighborhood with young families. I would like it to be close enough to London to enjoy it. It would need to be not too far from one of the airports.
