My passport says the "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" The Queen is the head of state. Tony Blair is her Prime Minister. The UK is located in the British Isles - the largest is England Scotland and Wales. The next largest is Ireland - this consists of the Republic of Ireland (Eire) and Northern Ireland. There is a little Britain - it is Brittany in France. London is both the capital city of the UK and England.

England is a part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. So is Wales and Scotland and Northern Ireland. That's the queen's territory as well Tony Blair.

ok England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are just the individual name.

The Term Britain applies to England, Scotland and Wales collectivly (please note Northern Ireland is not part of Britain)

The Term United Kingdom (UK) Applies to England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Queen Elizabeth is primarily the Queen of England, although ever since the collective terms UK and Britain were introduced she is also the Queen of those three other countries too.

Please note many countries have addopted the English's Queen as their Queen also, etc Australia.

Tony Blair is the Prime Minister of all 4 countries...England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland so you can use any term to refer to which countries he leads.

hope that clears some confusion up

The UK is made up of provinces of England, scotland, wales and northern ireland.

Britain refers to the big island (england + scotland and wales)

Irealnd refers to the smaller island (northern ireland + rep. of ireland)

The queen is the head od state of the UK as is tony blair.
