My husband and our two children under 5 yrs are driving up to Gatlinburg, TN from Tupelo, MS on the last week of September. This will be our very first family trip there!

I would like to know any info on what to pack for around the last week of September. I hear that the fall season is just beautiful with the leaves changing colors and such.

I have researched a little on a motel called Marshall's Creek Inn. Not very much info on the net, but has very excellent reviews. If anyone has ever stayed in this motel please tell all about it!

Any personal info on this city during "fall" would be greatly appreciated :)

tips on what I should expect? Can we carry an ice chest with drinks/snacks? How much room is inbetween the seats for legs and "stuff". My husband says it can be a scarry group of people riding a bus, but to me, it will be worth it to save that money! Please share your experiences, things you carried on, how far you traveled, etc. Thanks!! BTW, we are going from Houston to Orlando.

Can a Canadian citizen fly within the US without a passport? For example, crossing the border into the US by car and then flying from Seattle to Orlando? Has anyone done this?

Hi, I just heard about this website through tripadvisor.com. Some of the deals seem WAAAAY too good to be true so I wanted to hear some real-life stories. Does anyone have any experience with skyauction.com?

hey at all,

I am back in Berlin. As you all now I visit my friend Peter in New York for two weeks. I had an awesome time there full of fun and adventure. After my endless journey by plan which took me more than 13 hours I finally arrived on friday afternoon. Peter actually wanted me to join him at party of one of his friend but I had a huge jetlag. I was so tired you guys cannot even imagine. But after a long sleep Peter showed me some realy exiting sightseeings. We visit the freiheitsstatur and the broodway. He showed me the whole city. Especially I liked little Italy. The people are so friendly and open. I bought a lot of new things there e.g. a gucci bag for only 30 euro. But guys do not tell anyone that this is a faked one. I saw so much imasing places and meet a lot of interesting people in New York. I really would love to go there again next holidays. But there was one thing I could not handle. You cannot imagine how much people there live.Everyone is always busy and everywhere you look are millions of people. This was defently to much for me. but apart from that I love this city. And the coolest thing was that there are people from all over the world. I met people from spain, italy, china, brasil etc. .Nearly all the people were very nice and chilled. Hopefully I have the possibility to live there sometime. New York has a lot of different faces and is very multinational town. I thing this is one thing I liked at most.

I am looking to meeting you guys tonight. I have to tell you so much more.

Greetings

Obviously I'm taking along passport and a multitude of other documents (bank statements, plane ticket, proof of accomodation, travel insurance etc...)

I am looking for a book that has several pictures of things (people, places, food/drinks etc.) that can be used to avoid having to translate the word you are thinking of; while in a foreign country. I heard of a book like this on the news once, if you know what I'm talking about, please help me find a website where I can purchase one. thank you : )

I notice the Intnl Airport is close to the city, and would like to maybe take a ride around town for a couple of hours. Any ideas of a 'must see' in that short time, Thanks.
