I am planning a short three-week vacation to Paris. My dream has been to visit Paris until I came across this piece from Henry Miller. He wrote:

"Paris is like a whore. From a distance she seems ravishing, you can't wait until you have her in your arms. And five minutes later you feel empty, disgusted with yourself. You feel tricked."

For those who have visited the city, Is this the correct picture? I am reconsidering my trip. Please assist.

I may travel to Australia from the US. What do I need to drive there? Rent a car and go? Or are there other requirements?

And do you have tips for learning to drive on the left side of the road? (Australia, Britain anywhere it's an issue)

we're recently married but have not enough leave to go on our honeymoon till april next year. I've got an injury and can't climb steps & we prefer something moderately lazy with great food.

I was thinking Japan, New Zeland or Europe? He mentioned rain forest spa (but he refuses to go to the local spa with me!) he also mentioned that we may take 2 short breaks instead of 1 long 1 (but i know he'll end up just taking 1 short 1!!)

can anyone suggest anything?

I will be traveling out of the US in a month and a half or so and need to get my passport. I went to www.travel.state.gov to find out how to go about it, since this is my first time. I read that I can print out the application and then bring it in with me. My question is: "Can we just print the application on regular white printer paper?" According to the webpage it says that the application has to be printed on matte surface paper.

Here's the page that states exactly that:
http://travel.state.gov/passport/forms/forms_847.html

So is it okay on regular white printer paper?

I'm currently looking for high school study abroad programs with a DECENT price (preferrably under $3,000 or $2,500)! So far I'm not very successful to find an AFFORDABLE program. I plan to go next summer or summer of 2008 for a period of time between 1 or 2 months! Por favor, ¡ayúdenme mis amigos! (Please, help me my friends!)

Please include web addresses if you can! =)

Merci beaucoup!
