Rio is on the most beautiful bays in the World.
The town is sensual .
The majority of visitors Love Rio , and all it offers without problems .Rio is one of the most densely populated cities , and there is some extreme poverty, so there is lot of crime.
I have probably visited Rio 7 times , nothing has happened to me.
However, I have been robbed in France , a few times , London and Spain.
You can go to the beaches, but just don't leave you stuff unattended , keep you camera in a shopping bag.
Night time , take more care,and avoid unlit deserted areas.
So if you are careful you will have a great time.
Yes the weather is great , but it can rain with heavvy downpours.
The Beaches are great, but the sea can be a little dangerous to swim.
The music is great and in the evenings you must go to Lapa

Rio is not the biggest city in Brazil...
It is a place with strong identity.
Many good and bad things like everywhere else.
