I won't have access to a car, so is there anyone who has been that can recommend places near there which i should absolutely go see? they don't necessarily have to be touristy or anything...i just want to make the most of my time...please help!

How has the weather been there lately? I'm arriving in Dublin on Thursday (I know to expect rain). Also, does anyone know how long it will take to drive from Mayo to Donegal? And from Donegal to Dublin? And lastly, any tips for a first time visitor? Thanks!

If so, can you give me some history about the place? I know it's located near the Castle in Bunratty (sp). Was it orginally a brothel? Please tell all details if you know. Thanks.

Going to be hiking/bussing and catching spins round Ireland in the summer, and have just found out about the Grand canal.

Are there any parts of it that MUST be seen? How about places to avoid? We are going to be camping, so how about plcaes to pitch our tent?
