I went on vacation a few months ago to St. Thomas and St. Maarten and have been in love ever since. If I end up being successful and financially secure, I'd love to live on an island in the Caribbean (or at least have a vacation home there). Is this stupid? I said it the other day and my father said "Now why would you say something stupid like that?"

We are planning a small destination wedding and have narrowed our choices down to the Sandals St Lucia and Antigua resorts. I was hoping I could get some input on which resort is better, and any other information that could help in making this decision. Thanks in advance.

I'm flying to the carribean for 15 days and I have a stop over in Charlotte, NC. Does anyone know how much time it usually takes to claim baggage there? Or if I have a better option than just craming everything into a carry on? Any help would really be appriciated!

We're interested in visiting the Caribbean this December and are tying to find that perfect place that offers clear, calm, white-sand beaches with plenty of on-resort activity. However, it would be nice if the resort had some of an exclusivity and wasn't jam packed with people/kids. It would also be great to go out on excursions and experience the culture in the surrounding region. Presently considering Punta Cana, and Riviera Maya... any suggestions?

Next summer I'll be vacationing in the Caribbean with some of my family (my sister, aunt, uncle, and cousins). We're just not sure of where we want to go yet. My aunt originally picked the Turks & Caicos, but that turned out to be too expensive for all of us.

We're looking for somewhere beautiful with plenty of things to do, but affordable.

If it helps, I'll be 19 by then, two of cousins and my sister will be 18, and the other two cousins are young, 10-12.

I'm looking to go to the Caribbean for around 10 days on a budget of about £800 per person. I'm open to the island to go to (although Cuba, St Lucia and Antigua appeal). Anyone got an opinion on the best island to go to, the hotel and where to get the best deal, either online or by phone?

Looking for employment in the tropics, where the weather is nice all year round! Not looking for a high paying job, just something that will get me by, pay the bills and maybe have a little fun also. I will be bringing my girlfriend who will also be looking for employment. We are in our early 40's and looking for a new career in the sun!
