I'm flying to the carribean for 15 days and I have a stop over in Charlotte, NC. Does anyone know how much time it usually takes to claim baggage there? Or if I have a better option than just craming everything into a carry on? Any help would really be appriciated!

Check with the TSA website http://www.tsa.gov/
They will have the best advise and also check with the airline you are using since all have different requirments.
Also, check to see if you are having to stay in the same terminal or run to another on the other side of the airport. If it were me, I`d do carry on and buy once there.

by way of fact it is a family individuals to international connection and all Delta flights use a similar terminal at Detroit, you should be ok. I regarded up the flights and at present the Nashville flight arrived 25 minutes early at gate A53, and the Seoul flight left 15 minutes overdue from gate A30, and those 2 gates are no extra suitable than a ten minute walk from one yet another. Coming any different way you should bypass by using customs so i could enable a minimum of two hours, ideally 3.
