Does anyone know how strict Brazil Customs is re the 30 day Rabies Vaccine?

Our dog's Rabies vaccine will be only 28 days before our date of departure from Canada to Brazil. How strict are they? If we bring him anyway does anyone know if they will just quarantine him there for the 2 days or would they actually not allow him to enter. I would appreciate any information on this. Thanks.

Moving to Brazil, can I take my motorcycle?

The title says it all. I found out theres a lot of ways to ship my furniture etc. I did see something saying that I couldn't bring in vehicles, it didn't make much sense to me. Ive heard that some people have their vehicles from here, but I don't know how they
got them there.
If there is no clean way to do it.. Like just shipping it..
Can I ship it to a different country and pick it up.
Its not too big, and I will not move to Brazil without it
where I can ride it year round.
My bike here costs about 8000 dollars.
In Brazil it would probably cost about 20000 US dollars.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

Swimming in Brazil? In June/July/August?

I was wondering if it's normal to be swimming in Brazil (Sao Paulo State, or Rio) in the winter months (summer months here). This summer I'm going as an exchange student and want to know if I'll look like a freak swimming in the beaches in South/Southeastern Brazil. What are my chances of getting robbed?

Hi, my husband and I are planning a week vacation to Rio in May. We are both avid travelers and have taken the regular precautionary steps while visiting other countries. In the guide books I've read, all say we should keep our cameras, etc. out of clear view from thieves on the streets. What are your experiences as far as crime in Rio? Are they just over exaggerating the risks?

If I owe R$ 1.258,48 --- how many dollars is that? I'm really confused I just booked 2 airline tickets that cost R$295 + taxes each way, and my total came out to R$ 1.258,48. Is that right shouldn't my total be somewhere around R$600?????

Teach English in Salvador, Bahia, Brasil?

So I'm doing this teacher-trainee program in Brazil, but they don't have Salvador placements so if I want to go there I have to contact the schools myself. I need help finding schools. Only the national franchises are listed online.

Here are the ones I've contacted so far:
Wisdom, Yazigi, Cultura Inglesa, and Alumni.

Help me pick a destination.....?

Me and my soon to be husband will be going to Brazil for our honeymoon in may. We will have time to visit 2 cities, one Rio of course. Were having a hard time deciding which other one we should go see, it's between Iguazu Falls, or Salvador de Bahia. Can you help us with some guidance. Also if we go to Iguazu how hard/far is if for us to go to the Argentina side??? Thanks.

Learning Portuguese in Rio de Janeiro?

I plan to travel to Rio de Janeiro for 4 - 5 weeks in the coming year and want to study Portuguese while I am there. I am looking at different language programs/schools.
