1st, Steriods or not you don't kill people much less a 7 year old.
2nd, He doesn't deserve a RIP, he murdered his family plain and simple.
3rd, IT WASN'T AN ACCIDENT !, his wife's hands and feet were tied up, doesn't sound accidental to me.

Enough with the sympathy for him, direct your sympathy to the living family, and his late wife and child.

Now, get on with your life, he isn't the first and won't be the last celeb to murder someone.
You didn't know him personally, you didn't know what he was capable of !

IM tired of hearing about Benoit and his bad life, and some of you said that I do not care for Benoit, you can blow me and get bent becasue when I read that article on WWE.com the first thing I did was grab my heart because I could not belive it.

Now you people are promoting nonsense by talking about him over and over, personally, im going to give the man a break and take a day or two off this Yahoo answers to show some respect,

I could understand if someone came in and it was an accident, but for ANYONE to kill a wife and son is unexcuseable, and I have no respect for him what so ever.....I am sorry...He might be the best technical wrestler ever..but he might be the worst person outside of wrestling ever as of right now.....

It seems people are saying 'you have to respect' what he did. So just because he was a gifted athlete, we should mourn him? Should we also comfort O.J. who happens to be one of the greatest rushers of all time. Someone also brought up the BTK murderer, should we excuse his murder because it took forever for him to get caught? Should we excuse the 9/11 attacks because a handful of terrist 'bravely' gave their lives to kill many innocents? In our sad country, have we sunk so low to praise a man for murder just because he was a gifted wrestler?

who tries to make excuses and praise Benoit for being a great wrestler at this time? The dude just killed his wife and child. I dont care what they screenwrote for him to do in his career. On WWE.com you can't find his tribute pictures and videos or testimonials not his superstar page anywhere in sight. someone tell WWE that taking all that stuff off isn't gonna make it all go away. thats gay he devoted his life to wrestling and that's just gay to do that.

because of his popularity as a sports entertainment... What then is the difference between him and Scott Peterson....who killed his two kids...he wasnt popular at all and im sure 95% agree as do i that he did the most discusting act in the world someone could do is kill his wife and child so. the only difference hes in jail. because this guy is a so called wrestler....it makes him an icon and people love him...he to killed his family too but still gets so much respect..thoughts

Not only did he commit suicide he killed his wife and kid. The Question is, WHY should WWE be responsible? They did not FORCE him to do it. They offered him to do it, he took the chance. Being a lawyer myself I come across many types of cases like this. The 10th ammendmant says nobody can be forced to do anything. Its all choice. Therefore, World Wrestling Entertainment is NOT responsible for the deaths. This is also because there is no one close enought to Benoit to hold charges against them.
Therefore, in the case of Chris Benoit, WWE is NOT responsible.
However, and here is my question, what would you do if you were...

a) Nancy Benoit's parents(wife)
b)Chris' parents
c)Nancy Benoit/ suppose you saw your son getting killed
d) Chris Benoit after he does this and lives, how would you explain it. His family was never mentioned in WWE, so...

What if it was your child, mother, father, brother, or sister he killed? Would you still defend him? Would you still have the nerve to say 'he had a reason' or 'only god can judge him'? Close your eyes and imagine your very own child murdered at the innocent age of seven. That is what happen people. He has taken the life of two people, one of which was very innocent (his 7 year old child). There is no excuse, no matter what he has done in the industry, and no you don't have to respect anything this man has done. He lost all respect and credibility for taking the life of a child. I have had family members taken from me, so I do and will judge Benoit. I hope he does burn in hell!!!

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. (AP) -- Pro wrestler Chris Benoit strangled his wife and smothered his son before hanging himself in his weight room, a law enforcement official close to the investigation told The Associated Press on Tuesday.

Authorities also said they are investigating whether steroids may have been a factor in the deaths of Benoit, his wife and their 7-year-old son. Steroid abuse has been linked to depression, paranoia, and aggressive behavior or angry outbursts known as "roid rage."

"We don't know yet. That's one of the things we'll be looking at," said Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard. He said test results may not be back for weeks.

Autopsies were scheduled Tuesday by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Authorities were investigating the deaths at a secluded Fayette County home as a murder-suicide and were not seeking any suspects. The official who described the manner of death spoke on the condition of anonymity because the information was to be released at a news conference later Tuesday.

Investigators believe Benoit (pronounced ben-WAH) killed his wife, 43-year-old Nancy, and son Daniel during the weekend and then himself Monday. The bodies were found Monday afternoon in three separate rooms of the house, off a gravel road about two miles from the Whitewater Country Club.

Fayette County Coroner C.J. Mowell did not return calls seeking comment. The answering service for his funeral home said he was out of town.

Asked about the condition of the interior of the house, sheriff's Sgt. Keith Whiteside said investigators found "nothing really out of the ordinary." He said Benoit was found in the home's weight room, his wife in an office and the son in an upstairs bedroom.

Have you ever thought that maybe the wife killed the son then Benoit killed her? Have you ever thought about what could have really went on in that house?? The thing is YOU don't know and neither do the investigators. Autopsy results haven't even been released, why are they saying they know his for sure?

Ok, I'm asking this question seriously, I honestly want to know the answer.

I'm seeing a lot of people on here going on about how long Benoit was with the WWE, and how dedicated he was to the WWE, etc. And I understand that, I understand being a fan. But the man killed his wife and child. I know, I know its still an ongoing investigation and all that, but from what all the reports are saying, its almost certain he did it.

So, my question, once it all becomes clear and certain that he did it, does he get to be forgiven in your eyes because he worked for the WWE for so long?
