why build a murderer up to be anything more than just that?

And he killed his wife and son, who were probably dedicated to him. It's pretty asinine to do that, also. The LEAST that the WWE can do now is show everyone that it does not tolerate murderers. WWE doesn't have the same etiquette, or fans, as professional sports... Because it is not a sport. But by having a tribute, on it's official website, to a murderer, the WWE would be lowering itself to standards low on even the show-biz scale.

No one knows conclusively yet if he was murdered or if he murdered his family and then himself. The WWE should wait until the investigation concludes to take any action regarding him, as it should have waited before doing a 3-hour tribute... But now, they rightfully pulled everything and await the conclusion. If it's found that Chris Benoit and his family were all murdered, then they can put a tribute back up.

I can understand why WWE has done this, it's because they don't want a murderer on their website. I do agree with you though, it's a shame that someone who dedicated their whole life to wrestling can just be wiped from WWE's history like he never existed.

They probably setting up some kind of tribute...that takes time to do. It wasn't until about four hours after John Lennon was shot that they started showing all kinds of tributes. Takes time.

They probably did it out of respect for the family of his wife and son. Why pay tribute to someone who murdered his family?

I know, that's pretty harsh! It's like Vince wants to make everything go away. I can understand him/them not wanting to "celebrate" the life of a guy that killled a woman, child and himself, but at least acknowledge his existance.

He strangled his wife & suffocated his son, so should we honor him for this? Too bad all of his attributes flew out the window but hey, that was his own doing, because he murdered his family.

I agree with it. MLB doesnt really acknowledged Pete Rose and he only gambled. This guy killed his whole family. Its a black eye for the "sport" and you losers who think he is an icon need to get a life. Period.

WWE is a business, and it's not good business to associate said business with an alleged murderer, see?

I think they did that because of what he did to his family and would perhaps look bad on there part. But that's just my opinion
