What an awful person, what could you possibly be thinking to kill your 7 year old kid. The wife is bad I know, but a kid. C'mon, the WWE is full of awful people who either have this in them or are ready to be pushed over the edge after some roid rage. THey are awful people, and then you run a 3 hour special about a guy who killed his kid. WWE is a tasteless waste of time.

Because....because he was a WRESTLER...a celebrity.
They "know" him through his public persona and they know he COULDN'T do that. He "loved his family and was a good man."
They don't seem to care that he'd beaten his wife before, so it's not like this is new or sudden behavior. Just more extreme.
But they'll love him anyway.
There's no wondering what's wrong with this nation.

I wish I could give you 10 thumbs up.
Future WWE:
Umm... no. But nobody MADE him take the steroids either, and it's not like the side effects of their use aren't right up there with "The sky is blue." in terms of common knowledge.

I dont understand why everyone is acting like this man is not the same as EVERY other sick b*stard thats EVER killed their own family.. The fact that he's famous takes nothing away from the fact that he is a murderer..
I am very upset that they are making this man look like a hero!! What makes him any different?

I would have to say I agree. Everyone is commemorating him even though he killed his wife and child I dont get it
I think its interesting that a lot of people on different parts of here are talking about paying respects to "the fallen superstar" however he wasn't fallen. he was a crazy criminal who was juiced up on roids. He wasn't like the wrestler a few years back who fell from the rafters. He died of an accidential death, he deserved to have a tribute payed to him. He died while doing his job. Benoit was a murderer.

Bobby Cutts is a murderer.....he killed his girlfriend and unborn daughter. Chris Benoit is a hero....he killed his wife and 7 yr old son........WTF is wrong with this picture??? Same crime.......I just don't get the supposed "mentality" of people who glorify this MURDERER.

Sports fans are very odd sometimes. They don't want to believe that their idol could do such an awful thing. Case and point: The Kobe Bryant trial case.

Once again...
he wouldnt do that without the help of drugs. So, technically he didnt make the REAL decision to do it.
That arguments over...but now, comes the "he didnt have to take steroids" kinda thing, right?
Who knows WHY he took them!!
It could be MANY reasons! I mean, depressed people get screwed up...I know from personal experience, and if he was the man he always was, he wouldnt even THINK to do something like that.
Depressed people dont have control in themselves, as weird as that sounds...
and it may very well not be his fault.
I'm not defending him 100%, but unlike a lot of people, I'm not accusing him, 100% yet, either.
As much as we dont know him...killing is something he wouldnt ever do. I think its safe to say that much.

He is a loser. Come on, he had a lot of money, and he wasn't smart enough to get professional help? Even if he didn't want to live anymore, why take his wife and son with him. He's a loser and I hope he learns how to wrestle in Hell.

He obviously had some problems...I think the truth will be that he had steroids in his system and that this was a fit of steroid rage...Either way, it is still tragic...but if it was steroid rage, it means he was not aware of what he was doing...
