i play volleyball in middle school and on a leauge. this is my first year of really playing on teams, and im pretty good but i have problems with overhand serving! i just cant do it! i lift weights to get stronger and i practice hitting it against the wall, but then when i try over the net, it just wont go over! i think i need to hit it higher or something. experianced players please help me! i need to learn how to serve soon b/c i will be on varsity (8th grade) next year

I am in high school, and I am trying to improve my volleyball skills. I am very athletic. I jump very high, so getting the ball over the net is no problem. but when i hit the ball, i cant seem to hit it down enough, and goes too far. any advice will be appreciated.

we're an all girls team from ages 17 to 20 and we need a name quick. we're usually clumsy on the court and the community enjoys watching us play because we started off being the worst players of all and now we're the best team and the laughing stock because we're clumsy.which i'm proud of putting smiles on thier faces!

I play in leagues and with friends and in my league we use international rules that your foot doesnt have to be planted and you can use it at any team.. I think.. unless they just call it wrong.. but recently when playing with friends i more or less hacky sacked the ball up in the air and they called it a dead ball.. they say the foot has to be planted.. but according to the usavolleyball rules it just says that any part of the body can be used to hit the ball.. but i know in highschool leagues the ball has to be hit above the waist here in MI

I have been homeschooled for the past three years and this fall I am going to go back up to school. My parents want me to take vollyball. I am going into 9th grade and have never played vollyball in my life. The other girls are going to be a lot better than I am so I want to start practicing drills over the summer.
