Tennis

I just started playing tennis for the first year for my school that just started a tennis sport. I have always just been average at sports but I really want to do well at tennis. And next tues. is our first match. But the coaches are only taking 10 players and theres about 15-13 players all together. So to get to those 10 spots we have to play each other starting tomorrow.

Any tips?

In tennis why do so many players blow on their fingers? Also why do they examine the balls before chosing one before the serve. I am sure they look the same. What are they looking for?

Seriously. Tennis seems like a fairly simple game to learn. Put a racquet in someones hand who is very athletic (lots of speed and strength) and learns the fundamentals of the game and within 5 years or so of practice I see them as a top contender in pro ranks. I think that what takes time for most tennis players to develop is their athletisism. Anyone agree?

Is it only me that has not seen the achievement of these folks.I mean,they have never won anything in the past 30 years and yet loosers adore them,I don't get it.

hi all, im using a 4 1/2 and i find that its too big instead of getting a new 4 3/8 if i were to shave the grip small will it loose its racket balance and how will it effect the whole racket.
