Tennis

Do not tell me about tours, corporate stuff, ticketmaster etc. I understand all that and have researched it all. What I need to know is practical info from someone, preferably who has done this so possibly a native NYer, on the availability on the day of getting tix right there at the Nat'l Tennis Center box office which opens up every day in the morning. I don't care where I sit/stand. I'm not some rich, moneybags dude but just a working class stiff so that's where I'm coming from.

My mom insists that she looked like she was pregnant the last time we saw here, but I don't think so. Also, she doesn't appear to be anywhere in the stands during Wimbledon this time around. Any idea where she is? Or are they still together?

If you look at federer's backhand at the french open final, and now look at it at wimbledon, it is so much different. now it is more powerful, enforceful, and has better spin. his backhand at the french open was....... prettty bad. what has changed to make him hit so much better. was it that he is more confident now, or was teh wind a factor in the final?

Saw a documentary thing on him not long ago and all he did was lay on his backside whilst his Mum did everything for him!!!!! He was so lazy and incompetant it is a wonder he learnt to play tennis at al!!!!

The guy said he was a Scot and would not be supporting England through the World Cup, it was even reported he would be cheering on who ever we played.

Today, his Manager/spokesman at Wimbledon claimed he's British obviously to get the English on his side.

Year after year the English support the Scots, Welsh and Irish in sport and other events.(unless we're playing them of course)

Should we really be spending one second of our time supporting this guy when we get nothing in return?

Personally, I think Federer will 3-peat. He's indestructible on this surface. I'd be SHOCKED if he didn't.

On the womens side, I think Henin-Hardenne will finally win and complete her Grand Slam trophy set.

They never show doubles or even tell who won the events. I love doubles and am a tennis fan so when it rains why not show something new. I saw the matches over and over.
