I love hockey and grew up watching it and i miss a couple of yrs and they go on strike and then a ncaa softball game gets higher ratings then the game 1 of the stanely cup. I just don't understand how the NBA which i find boring can be so much more popular than the NHL, and MLb are u kinding me its takes em like 5mins just to throw one pitch. WTF is going here!!!!

i think he was ran out of town after the loss to edmonton. he was not totally to blame for the first round exit. maybe illitch needs to do what he did with the tigers to the wings: rebuild and let go of all of these aging stars. start cheap. that's just a thought. i say they get rid of ozzie too. he is not that great of a goalie. who would you rather see as a goalie in detroit?

The Norris Trophy is awarded each year to the top defenseman in the league. This year the nominees are: Nicklas Lidstrom, Detroit Red Wings; Scott Niedermayer, Anaheim Mighty Ducks; Sergei Zubov, Dallas Stars.

As a side note, Nicklas Lidstrom has been nominated 7 out of the last 8 years and won 3 times (2001 to 2003).

Yeah I think the Canes are scared now. Ryan Smith could probably handle them all on his own. They just have to put the nail in the coffin and get Rollison back.
