I'm a Philadelphia Flyers fan - they are really getting off to a bad start this year - last night they lost to Buffalo 9-1. Ouch! Why is there so much scoring in NHL hockey? Seems like the rules after the lockout changed something, but I'm not enough of a fan to know exactly what. Is it enlarged offense zones? Is it that you can't crash into a player unless he has the puck?

Why so much scoring? Thank you.

I wasn't very impressed with the Sabres last night... / (But for their defence) they didn't play as great as everyone is saying.
The Flyers couldn't control the puck over the blueline and we all know their defence was on pathetic.... but Eche actually played very good in the 1st period...

Anyway - The Sabres are ok / NOT superb... and (once again) they didn't win that game because they played great... - They won because Phila played awful...
Their streak will end Friday against Carolina.

And Phila will redeem themselves Thusday against Tampa.

Does anyone agree?

This was a minor league team, the player was also drafted by the Detroit Red wings but I am not finding his name on the Draft list. He never played in the NHL but he was drafted.

The skates are heat-moldable, usually in a special oven where you buy the skates. My retailer has no such oven. I want to know if there is a procedure for doing the molding using my own oven at home.

I am a female hockey goalie and I play on two teams out of Nashville, three hours from where I live. So, I practice with my younger brother's pee-wee team. And the head coach is also the midget coach so he has some of his guys come out with the pee-wees to help. Well, all the midgets know me now because of it.

How can I tell if they are flirting, since we are on the ice and all? There is this guy that did something before practice that I did not see, but my friend with me said, "Don't look at her like that." I ask her what she meant, and she said, "His eyes. He was looking at you funny." She's ten so I do not think she knows what flirting or lust is, but the way she said it, I believe it was somewhere along those lines.

So, how can you tell????

I am putting this in hockey bacause it has to do with hockey.

Not to take anything away from the teams that they have played so far but the last time I checked, there was a PROFESSIONAL ice hockey team that goes by the name of Flyers here in Philly. I'll bet the Phantoms could beat these goons. They are playing just awful. My guess is that the SniderClarke monster has given coach Hitchcock all the wrong kind of defensemen for today's NHL. (Sell the team Ed and let Clarkie retire. Get rid of the Sixers too.)

I'd like to know your thoughts and analysis, hockey fans.

Okay, so they want us to go to the rink. Fine. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS NONSENSE AND WHO CAN I GO TO TO COMPLAIN!?!?!?!?

I pay for cable. My cable pays for the rights to see these games. I DO go to MANY NHL games. I pay plenty to see this team in action. WTF Do I get stiffed on games like tonight!?!?!?!?! (I'm really pissed off here).

For example, I live in Montreal, and there's a game tonight in Montreal. The program shows up on my receiver, but I can't tune into it because "it has been blacked out". I can watch it in French... but do I want to watch it in French!?!?!??! NO.

Why is it "blacked out"?? What does this mean!?!?!??!!? I just want to watch hockey!!!!!
