I have just started hitting balls at a golf simulator. So far I am just on the driving range and do a full swing. Does the swing change when one plays golf on a real course as one gets nearer the green? What I mean is do you hit it with a less full swing or does changing the clubs take care of the differences in distances?

There is a series of Masters annuals that have a green simulated leather front cover and I need one more for the series, 1980. They are about 80 pages. I look on ebay but it doesn't come up very often.

several new square headed drivers out there? do they hit the ball straighter, and if so, why. If it has to do with weight balancing on the extremities of the head, why wouldn't lead tape on a current driver provide similar stabilization?

I remember reading about how much he loves the water, going out on his boat, diving and jet Skiing.

I also read somewhere else that he loves diving because it is the only time he is in the presence of living creatures that don't stare at him. It's the only time he gets anonymity. I'm just wondering if there is any truth to this.

I am willing (very willing) to give up distance for more accuracy. At present, my handicap is 15.0 and I play 2-3 rounds a week. On days I don't play a round I usually hit the driving range. My drives, when they stay in the fairway, go 245-260 yds. I live in Arizona and play mostly desert courses which punishes you badly if you don't stay on the green stuff. I (more than I want) miss the fairway and the short green grass--maybe 2 or 3 times a round, and OB or in the desert once a round. My 'misses' are big pulls and pushes, no consistency. My 3 wood does pretty much the same. Using a 3 iron isn't the answer as it doesn't give the distance I need to hit greens in regulation.

Question is--could a higher lofted similar driver be the best answer? If so, what would you recommend. Thanks.

PS...yes, I have taken lessons recently. My instructor tells me I have a good pre-shot, set up and alingnment is OK and If I keep the right tempo I'll do fine. Well, I don't. Again, th
