Each game could cost between $50-80 including the green fees and carts. Is it worth it to learn? I make $100K per year but I find the game too expensive, unlike tennis. I could be blowing off $300-400 per month on the games, driving ranges, equipment.

Is it only a very rich man's game?

I think it's a myth that golf is for the top executives who make million-dollar deals on the course. Maybe 0.1% people do it. Other 99.9% people probably play for "status".

I believe it is the most hyped up sport in the world. Do you agree?

I recently started using my father's old clubs and one of them was an "Invincible" 1a Iron with a wooden shaft. I can't seem to find anything on the brand or when they were made. Can you help?

Do you like them? Do they look good on you? Do you just wear them because that's all you have? Do you wear them to look preppy or because you think they make you seem or look a certain way or fit in with a certain group? What do you think about them?

I have been playing lately and getting ready to lead my Varsity team this year but there's one small problem. I'm starting to develop a hook. It is a fairly large hook and is most noticeable with my driver. It is also noticeable with about my 7 iron on but not as noticeable.I take lessons about 3 times a month from a local pro but he's been out of town. What i have considered doing is weakening my grip by putting my right hand a little more on top of the club, but then I lose feel and have very little consistency. Please offer any suggestions.

I recently picked up a set of Adams GT-3 irons with graphite shafts. They say regular flex. I am a young guy (24) and hit the ball pretty hard and far. Average driver distance is 230-260 yards. I am right handed. What would happen if the graphite shafts in my new irons are too flexible?

Having never won anything and now she fires a great caddie like it was his fault she cant hit the golf ball straight. A woman, scratch that a girl who get exemptions all the time never earns a thing and now blames her caddie because she cant win. Winning is learned in golf as a junior and on up. Maybe she should try to win the US girls junior ametuer instead of the US open. GO AWAY UNTIL YOU WIN SOMETHING, ANYTHING.

It has been my experience from being paired up with many other people that very few are really honest about their golf game. Most people think nothing of moving their ball from a bad lie, not counting lost ball and lateral strokes, taking muligans and giving and taking "gimmies" that are not really gimmies. I have played with people who's final score was off by as much as 15 strokes. How can someone who shot a 95 convince themselves they shot an 80? For the sake of pace, I can understand not going back to the tee box on a lost ball, but you still lie 4, whether you hit a provisional or take a drop. Sometimes it's a little discouraging and you have to wonder if they live their lives like that too.

It seems she fired her caddy after finishing 26th. Actually her agent did it. She didnt even have the courtesy to do it herself. Is this showing her immaturity and her developing into the 21 century pro-athlete. It just shows she is putting the blame on her not winning on someone else. Excuse me but your caddy isnt doing the golfing little rich girl. YOU are. This just proves more that these so called professionals no matter what sport, are making way too much money, getting to much preferential treatment. She is a spoiled little brat and I hope she never wins again. I wish we would wake up as a country and put these 'stars' in thier place. Yea, i know its only golf and there are hundreds of other sports stars making loads of money but this shows its everywhere with nearly all of them.
