...and is that why they roll around on the ground like they are mortally wounded when they only have a bruise? If you did that in rugby or hockey you would be laughed at and then trampled on.

Its an interesting game otherwise, I just wish more of those dandies would grow a backbone and take a hit for a change.

(kudos to that American guy who took the Italian flying elbow, there's always exceptions)

Ive been playing soccer for almost 14 years now, and i still can't kick a ball consistently without spin. I tried angling my foot outward, keeping it low so my toe rubs across the grass, keeping my knee bent over the ball, following thru, everything...but only about 50% of the time im kicking the ball without spin. I try to reinact the exact same motions of when i kicked the ball without spin, but i can't seem to figure out what is the small factor that keeps a ball from spinning. Thanks for your help.

Arena made lot of bad moves, put players out of position..was sluggish in sub-ing. Fire him, go young..ie: few of the current players stay on the team.

Everytime I'm looking at videos on youtube, putfile, metacafe, etc, I see all of these Ronandhino and Ronaldo videos. By looking at the video capture, I'm assuming there some sort of soccer player, and judging my the popularity of their videos, they must be able kick a ball pretty good or something. But seriously people, WTF? Why all the videos? Is seeing someone kick a ball really that interesting?

For now, it's between World Cup and MLS playing this month. If you could cheer for your country, what team would it be?

In the '90s, a boy named Sunny or Sunni appeared on the Fantasy Football Show (hosted by Skinner and Baddiel), doing several ball tricks. They said he'd already signed for Ajax, even though he was so young (I think he was 10 or 12). Does anyone know what happened to him, i.e. whether he played for Ajax as an adult (or any other top flight club)?
