Most of the players in the 2006 starting line up for Brasil were playing in the European leagues. I was wondering why the players in the Brasilian league don’t get to feature more in the starting lineup for Brasil? Is it a good thing for Brasil to not include the home based players in the starting line up ? Will Dunga do the same thing as Perriera did?

I have not been impressed by his performance. Did he get into the World Cup squad just because he plays for Inter Milan? Brasil has a huge stockpile of talented players. I am sure they could have picked someone more skillfull and more deadly than Adriano who was highly ineffective and lathergic during the world cup....barely moved his body around.

On the Baddiel and Skinner podcast, they were disputing this, saying he'd have to get 50 goals each season over a 20 year career to achieve this. Anyway, if anyone has the career facts.....

i watch the brasilian league whenever i get the chance too. ive seen players like marcelo and lenny for fluminense who seem destined for success. also eduardo ratinho for corinthians looks a very good player, and anderson that went to porto. kerlon looks set to come to europe aswell. and arsenal have bought denilson, although i havent seen alot of him. but for those in the know are there any promising youngsters that look set to come to europe soon or perhaps represent brazil in the future.

Or do you think it doesn't really matter cos Dunga will do a better job than Scolari?

if you like somebody else, please name him but give evidence to back up your statement. I think CBF did a nice job by appointing Dunga as the coach although Scolari is no doubt one of the great coaches in the world.

Both are great players and both are now coaching their respective countries. But Donadoni has not shown sign of any promise so far whereas Dunga is looking very promising. He guided Brasil to two impressive wins againts Argentina and Wales. Italy's performance has been very mediocre. So what do you think ?

he is new and inexperienced in his current position as a coach. But I am beginning to feel he knows how to get the most out of players and already had two good wins over two good teams. I know it is too early to talk about him but I think he will be a great coach for Brasil.

After Brasil's recent performance, I can say it with full confidence that Brasil can win the Copa America 2007 which takes place in Venzuala.

I cried when they lost to France : a country that does not have a rich football history nor have they won any major tournament. By sheer luck, France went to the final. They hire players from other countries. That Baldy is originally from Algeria. I find it difficult to accept when I see some Brasilian supporters rejoicing when they hear France winning a match.

I think Dunga is doing a nice job. And with these two impressive wins over Argentina and Wales, the players seem to be getting back the rythem and style they were missing during the World Cup. I congratulate Dunga and Brasil on their impressive performance. The future looks bright and shiny for the Brasilians. GO BRASIL !!
