I know OSU is ranked 1 - but is USC or MI listed as 2?

No offense to Duke Football but I know high school teams that could beat them. If you really wanted to make the Miami players pay for what they did you should suspend them for the entire season and have them write an essay in class with someone from the NCAA present that is graded saying why they did what they did. If they can’t write the essay then they can’t play next season. I think this school needs too look at itself and say do we want to go down this road. Because I think if you can’t be a normal human being then you shouldn’t be playing sports at all. The worst is that this is a non-conference game so there should be no bad blood between these 2 schools and there is no reason to play one another. What do you think should be done?

So what if he is from a small school. He is the leading rusher in the nation. He didn't do so well this last week, but he has been unbelieveable all year. He should be near the top of the Heisman trophy voting. What do you think?

This Raider team is the most undisciplined I've ever seen. Even John Madden said they were embarrassing last night. More than a dozen penalties; how many of those were false starts? Mile High gets loud, but come on.
They exhibit NO effort, NO heart, and NO fire.
Will Art Shell make it through the season? SHOULD he?

Once again the Bengals have broken my heart and teased me with greatness and get beat by a 0-4 team.

What makes this even worse is that this year for the first time my wife became a fan. I tried for years to bring her into my addiction...she finally gave in and started to enjoy football...however Yesterday this woman cussed like a sailor. She was really mad last week...but I talked her into watching this week and told her we will win against the 4-0 Buc's..now she's mad at me for this!

oh well!!!!!!

Okay, I will admit it: I am a Houstonian who despises her home football team! There, I said it! But you know what? At least I am willing to admit it! Just recently, entrepeneur and owner/president of Gallery Furniture (a Houston-based furntiture store), "Matress Mac", decided to offer customers 1000, 4000, and even up to 10000 worth of furniture if the Texans would win against Dallas on Sunday. (For those of you who aren't away of the results, it was a Dallas win, 34-6.) Now maybe it's just me, but that is a HUGE gamble for someone who supposedly idolizes the Texans to take. What do you guys think? Do you think this was merely a costly publicity stunt, or has "Mr. Moneybags" lost his faith in the team?

I am a Brit so I am not versed in the arts of this oddest of games (namely - American Football).

Two questions :-

1. Why do they wear so much protection ? Are they frightened of being hurt ?

2. What roughly is the ratio of actual playing time to actual non-playing time (including 'time-outs') ?

The rule states that the ball must cross only the front part of the line, and does not have to completly cross over the line!!!!!!!!! so seachicken fans learn the rules and quit cryin' the simple fact is that they did not capitalize on their opportunities!!!!!!! and the steelers did.
