Okay, I will admit it: I am a Houstonian who despises her home football team! There, I said it! But you know what? At least I am willing to admit it! Just recently, entrepeneur and owner/president of Gallery Furniture (a Houston-based furntiture store), "Matress Mac", decided to offer customers 1000, 4000, and even up to 10000 worth of furniture if the Texans would win against Dallas on Sunday. (For those of you who aren't away of the results, it was a Dallas win, 34-6.) Now maybe it's just me, but that is a HUGE gamble for someone who supposedly idolizes the Texans to take. What do you guys think? Do you think this was merely a costly publicity stunt, or has "Mr. Moneybags" lost his faith in the team?

This is definitely a publicity stunt. A furniture store owner did a promotion the first week in Chicago that if you bought furniture during the promotion, and the Bears shut out the Packers, he would refund the money up to $10,000 per person. The Bears shut out the Packers and this guy had to refund a lot of money. However, he had taken out an insurance plan on his promotion and ended up getting all the money back from the insurance company.
