Win the Super Bowl? Undefeated? Perhaps. Perhaps not. It's WAY too early to tell. Not until Week 10-11 will anyone be able to make a good prediction.

As to some teams mentioned as possible contenders in playoffs (as of week 6):

Eagles have a generous defense and give up large points every game. Even if McNabb throws 3 TDs, the defense usually gives them right back.

Panthers rely on Smith too much. He beat them by less than ten points in the playoffs last year because Lovie and TIllman made bad (actually terrible) mistakes. The Bears won't make those mistakes again. The Bears could beat the Panthers right now.

Colts are like the Eagles, score a lot of points, give up a lot of points, even against crap teams (135 to 100). Bears could beat them.

Bears have Seattle figured out. Even with Alexander the other week, he couldn't have prevented the Bears scoring so many points as they did. He may have scored in the Red Zone when Seattle should have, and given some momentum, but realistically, even Holmgren would admit that it would not have made a huge difference.

Baltimore is a good match for the Bears and would be a good game, but not a blowout either way.

Sorry, but I just don't see the Jags beating the Bears. They are decent but not elite. The blowout against the Jets seems like a fluke, but we will see in a few weeks.

Patriots are good all-around, but are not as strong as they were a few years ago. The old Pats could probably beat the 2006 Bears, but I'm not convinced about the 2006 Pats beating today's Bears.

Broncos? LMFAO. They need an offensive explosion to even think about contending with the Bears D. They have an outstanding defense but their offense leaves a lot to be desired.

Let's not forget Saints and Steelers. They have found some fire, but it is too early to see how good they will become.

As of Week 6, Chargers are the only team I see that have a great all around team and have a tangible edge over the Bears. That would be a tough game for the Bears.

As for undefeated, the Bears would have to beat the Giants and Pats away from home to even consider that question. The Bears will most likely have locked in a playoff spot (or be very close) by then and won't risk horrible injury just to be undefeated. I expect them to lose to either the Giants or Pats (not both) and maybe the Vikings since the Vikings have always played well against the Bears.

But, these questions are not totally unrealistic, that's what makes football so interesting. One never knows. However, I can say with utmost confidence that the Super Bowl will not be Raiders v. Lions.

Super Bowl? Too early to tell, but as a fan, I'm gonna say they have a better shot than most treams at this point, as they haven't shown any real weaknesses. Undefeated? Doubtful. Nobody has done it since it became a 16 game regular season, and they'll rest their starters the last week or two.

As for Mike K... try to do a little research first. They went 13-3 in 2001 by luck, nothing else. Their offense still wasn't that great, but their defense was starting to click and they won several games by Mike Brown intercepting passes and returning them for touchdowns... the Browns & 49ers particularly in overtime. This season they actually have a high-powered offense coupled with an exceptional defense. The years after '01 they were hit with the injury bug which can beat up a tream pretty quick... look at last years Eagles to see that!

Okay why is everyone on the freakin Bears bandwagon it's been 5 games and everyone is talking CHAMPIONSHIP get it right I believe that this same circumstance happened when the Bears went 13-3 with that QB no one ever thought would be good and they got crushed in the playoffs then noone ever heard from the Bears until this year give it a rest I will lay down any odds that the Bears will not go undefeated or even make it to the Super Bowl I think the Panthers can beat them and I'm a Bengals Fan geez they haven't even played anyone worth mentioning final prediction Bears 12-4 good night

The Bears have a good shot at going undefeated, but its very hard not to have an off game.
If the Bears stay healthy (they do have good depth though), they will be favored to go all the way.
Seattle has a good defense, not just Minnesota. Minnesota is a tough place to play and we still won despite not playing our A game.
Our defense is a little better than last year, which is scary, good. That coupled with a much better offense should make the rest of football scared, very scared!

Maybe undefeated in the regular season. But there are some good defenses in the AFC, and the Bears struggled against the only decent defense they've faced so far, Minnesota. Them winning the superbowl is going to depend on who makes it from the AFC. If it's the Chargers, Jaguars, even the Ravens, they are going to be in trouble. If its Indy or New England, they win.

definitely it became the 1985-86 soccer season that the Bears went very practically undefeated (15-a million standard season). Their in basic terms loss became to the Dolphins in that season. yet it became the Dolphins with their "No call" protection in 1972 went undefeated. The Bears did win the super Bowl XX for the 80 5/86 season.
