I like Thomas Jones normally, and I don't really have any interest in playing Dunn, but the Jets are playing Baltimore and Pennington might not play, putting the Jets offense in even bigger trouble. But maybe if the backup QB plays for the Jets they'll be more likely to run than throw?

My RB #1 is Frank Gore.

3 WR's: Holt, Galloway, Bruce, Driver, Furrey

1 Def: Jags or Packers

LJ is my stud but with the way Herm Edwards is working him plus the Bears pretty much shut down LT, I'm really thinking about benching him...any thoughts?

Plus with Def's, both will do good this week, but who more? Pack against a backup QB = INT's but Jags should harrass Atlanta as expected...tough pick

-Peyton Manning and Garrard(start 2 qb league)
-Benson and Jacobs/Ward(jacobs hurt right now)
-T.O. and Steve Smith(only start 2 WR)
-Ahman Green/Brandon Jackson(we have a WR/RB option slot)
-Gates
-Shane Graham
-Chicago

this is my projected lineup after trade

-Garrard and Schaub/Leinart
-Parker and Portis
-T.O. and Steve Smith
-Andre Johnson/Benson/Jacobs(depending on matchups i guess)
-Gates
-Graham
-Chicago

rules are simple 1 pt for 25 yards and 6pts for TD 1 pt 10 yards rushing(QBs)

1 pt for 10 yards 6 pts for TD(RB TE WR)

i know i'd leave myself thin in QB giving up an MVP but i'd like to make my 2 running back slots and WR/RB slot much stronger.

and i know i will never use Dunn and probably never use morency or jackson since i have 3 better RBs(green,benson, jacobs when healthy)

I'm debating which Defense to play this weekend. Either the Jaguars or the Vikings. The Vikes had a huge day last Sunday (I didn't play em-doh!) and they play the Lions this week. The Jags D did pretty good, and they play the Falcons Sunday. So I'm basically trying to decide who has the weaker offense Detroit or Atlanta....I'm thinking the Vikings will have a tougher time against the Lions than the Jags will against the Falcons, so I'm inclined to play the Jags. Just curious what you experts think. Thanks!

My friend wants to trade away Portis and he wants a better 3rd receiver - Let's forget about his team and just look at what it does to mine. My team is:

WR S.Smith, A.Boldin, T.Houshmandzadeh, P.Crayton, J.Cotchery, R.Brown

Does this trade help or hurt me? I think Portis is a great asset for me, especially over Norwood I think - but I do lose a great receiver - although I do have depth there and can start Cotchery or Crayton without much worry.

Counter-trade offers would be helpful too - I am also interested in getting Todd Heap from him.

Drew Brees came off a horrible first game, and Big Ben came off a wonderful first game with 4 td throws, but both play D's that are horrible.

You start 2 running backs. My first RB is LT, then I have to choose 1 of the following.

Tatum Bell vs. Min
Chris Brown vs. Ind
Derrick Ward vs. GB

I could make a case not to start any of these guys. All had great first games, but here are the problems:

Tatum Bell- Minnesota has a hell of a rush defense. The last two games against Detroit, they limited them to a total of 5 yards rushing.

Chris Brown- He's in a running back committee against a Indy defense that has continued their strong performance from the playoffs last year.

Derrick Ward- Backup, playing with what should be the backup QB in NYG this week.

So the question is, who would you start and why? Thank you

They were basically equal in week 1. This week Detroit faces a tough Minnesota defense, while Carolina plays Houston. Both QBs play at home this week.

Who is a better start? I do have Steve Smith on my roster so I like the option of hedging my bets by playing Kitna - but the Vikings looked really dang good against Atlanta!

I don't know if it's just me but I'm so tired of hearing about Fantasy Football. All the talk about what players people have and how many points they're getting, how many yards they have, what defense they have, yada yada yada. Its probably fun for them but it's such a bore to hear people talk about this. Now they have Fantasy for everything..Basketball, Baseball, Golf(?!). I had a friend over the other day to watch the game and instead of enjoying the game all I heard was the statistics he was following.

For one of my classes, we split into teams of 6 and started a fantasy football team. I was the only one who knew anything about fantasy football. We had 6th pick and our draft went like this 1-Addai 2-Manning 3-Gore 4-Steve Smith 5-Larry Fitzgerald 6- Laurence Maroney 7-T.J. Houshmandzadeh 8-MJD 9-Chargers D 10-Brandon Jacobs 11-Calvin Johnson 12-Matt Leinart 13-Vernon Davis 14-Jerious Norwood 15-Reggie Brown.

I lost to a team that drafted Edge with the 5th pick overall, and drafted DeDe Dorsey (because he had a "cool" name) in the middle rounds. Is that BS or what?

Fair trade? In our league QB's get 4 pts per TD, and 1 pt every 15 yards.

WR get 6 pts per TD and 1 pt every 10 yds.

Why do spreads increase or decrease in the days leading up to the game? For example, one game "Open" 16 and "Today" 5. What happened to make that go so far down?
