My team is

Philip Rivers
Frank Gore
Cadillac Williams
Steve Smith
Lee Evans
Patrick Crayton
Todd Heap
Shayne Graham
Patriots

reserves

David Garrard
Chris Brown
Jerrico Cotchery
Troy Williamson
Anthony Thomas

My question I have been offered a trade Drew Brees for Steve Smith. If I take it it would help me tremendously at QB where I'm struggling right now but would hurt me alot at WR as my backups at WR arent the greatest. Should I take this trade or no?

Yeah the other team has Roethlisburger as his reserve.

I would say no - the upgrade at QB seems really nice but honestly your QB options aren't that bad - you can see how Garrard hangs in there - but you'll be down to only one #1 receiver in Evans - the other guys will be less consistent.

I feel your pain as I'm in the same type of QB situation - but I'd hold off and treat Steve Smith like your baby.

I wouldn't take it. Rivers had ONE bad week, and you're going to give up the best wide receiver in the league because of it? You'll find it much easier to replace Rivers later in the season than you'll find the next Steve Smith. Check out this guy's QB situation. If he has another stud quarterback waiting in the wings, you'll be giving this guy the edge over you. Meanwhile, Alex Smith and Jake Delhomme are available in a lot of leagues. They're closer to Drew Brees than any free agent wide receiver is to Steve Smith. I'd keep Smith.

QB is a position where you can still win fantasy championships with spot starters throughout the year. I would not do this deal.

What concerns me more is your depth at RB. Cadallic Williams does not impress me, Thomas will see limited action in BUF unless Lynch gets hurt, and Chris Brown has not yet proven himself to be a great #2 RB.

Save Steve Smith for a potential deal for more RB depth, and attach a WR from the other team you do the deal with to help balance out your WR depth.

So if I were you, look for deals to increase your RB depth, and do not worry too much about having a stud QB now.

No. Rivers played the best D in the league in week one, his numbers will improve. Brees may post slightly higher numbers, but this trade would devestate your WR corps.
As a matter of fact, may I suggest taking a look at Amani Toomer and dropping Williamson? The Vikes' passing game stinks and Williamson can't catch.

Rivers is fine @ QB. Losing Smith would be a huge detriment to you. He's easily your best receiver. Evans is only as good as loser Losman allows him to be. And your third starter Crayton will be a #3 receiver in a few weeks when Terry Glenn comes back from injury. No way should you make this trade.

Noway!! Sit tight on your QB situation. You will be fine with finding one when you need it. Eventually someone will drop one to pick up the next best thing and you can snag them. Don't do the trade. Smith for Brees I don't feel is even. Good luck in whatever you decide though.

i individually does no longer commerce. Monta Ellis gets factors, yeah, yet what else? yet once you're in desperate choose of things, then do some commerce. in any different case, Barnes has fairly stepped up interior the squaddies scheme, and Raja Bell is, properly....Raja Bell. do no longer try this commerce. Barnes and Bell are in simple terms too powerful. or you need to attend until at last Barnes' fee heavily will strengthen and then commerce him for a greater powerful participant than Ellis.

No way. Rivers had a tough job against Chicago, his #s will improve this week @ NE. You need receivers.
