I'm in an on-line fantasy league that just started points-per-reception (PPR) this year (I have been playing in this league for years). Their point in switching to PPR was to make receivers more valuable than before and have them be worth almost as much as a running back.

I happened to take Gates in the first week. Without PPR, I would have gotten 16 points from him (10 for the 107 yards and 6 for the TD). But with PPR, I got an additional 9 points for a total of 25.

So, I like it.
