My friend wants to trade away Portis and he wants a better 3rd receiver - Let's forget about his team and just look at what it does to mine. My team is:
QB Kitna, Delhomme
RB S.Jackson, C.Williams, Lynch, Norwood
WR S.Smith, A.Boldin, T.Houshmandzadeh, P.Crayton, J.Cotchery, R.Brown
TE B.Watson
K some dude
DEF Cincinatti
Does this trade help or hurt me? I think Portis is a great asset for me, especially over Norwood I think - but I do lose a great receiver - although I do have depth there and can start Cotchery or Crayton without much worry.
Counter-trade offers would be helpful too - I am also interested in getting Todd Heap from him.

forgot to add - I drafted Norwood in like round 12 of a 10 team draft so I got great value in him - if he "transforms" into Portis it's a big gain - the receiver switch, though, worries me.

See if you can get someone other than Jennings in the deal. Pretty much all the WRs you currently have are better than him (at least while Jennings is banged-up & Crayton is starting in place of Terry Glenn).
I think you could afford to lose Boldin, but I'm not that sold on Portis yet. The Skins have lost RT Jon Jansen for several weeks, so there's no telling if their running game will thrive or falter. See if there's another starting RB out there that you could trade for.

I'm shocked that you even ask this question. Do NOT trade Boldin, one of the elite WRs for Portis, an injury plagued RB who shares carries. The ohter two mentioned in the trade are insignificant.

pull it. i have boldin on my team and i think hes overrated. and with cadilac gettin hurt your gonna need a new RB and the upgrade from Norwood to Portis is a big one.
