Valentine's Day

[Selected]: All categories Society & Culture Holidays Valentine's Day

My daughter is 12 and in the 7th grade. In elementary school there was a party - and all of the kids exchanged valentines. Now that she's in middle school - does she just do nothing? Do kids bring candy or cards for just their friends? What gets exchanged? I asked her last night if she wanted to get some candy (you know the kind in little boxes with a place to write To/From - and she said she just wasn't sure. What's considered the cool thing to do these days?

I’ve only been dating this guy for about 2 months; I have no idea what to get him for Valentines Day. He’s not a very romantic guy at all. He’s twenty-two and he wears a lot of Pac-Sun clothes do you think a gift card for Pac-sun and maybe a v-day cookie cake would be stupid? Or do you have any other suggestions?

Were both sixteen, so it hardly matters, but I have no idea. His birthday is actually tomorrow, so im not really wanting to spend a WHOLE lot more money. But to be honest, what do you get a guy for Valentines Day when his birthday is a week before that? && im not very creative so i wouldnt say make something, because me+creativity= disappointment.

thanks!

is it just there to mock those of us who are single? is it there to give a couple a reason to eat expensivly, smell the roses and make love under the stars? Tell me what you think valentines is about. don't give me the whole "300 years ago, there was a man.." story. i wanna know what it means to YOU! don't be shy tell me what it is you take valentines as.

I just wanna know a guys view on Vday, like is it just a girly thing? Do you feel like you have to be romantic and cheesy on Vday? I wanna know a guys view because i don't want my expectations for my husband to be too high.

My husband and I are on a tight budget this valentines day, due to a vacation we are taking soon, so we decided that we aren't doing anything big for the holiday.

However, I still wanted to do something to show him how much I love him, so I have compiled a list of the things that I love about him and things that I appreciate about him.

That part is still done (I'm still adding things) but what can I do with them?

I want something creative.

I don't want to just hand him a few sheets of paper. Any ideas?

Thank you so much!

Ok so the place I work for is having a valentine delivery thing. for three dollars you can send a cup full of candy to someone with a balloon and messge on it.
I am still in love with my ex. we are friends now, and I dont think he is ready for anything cause he just came out of a relationship, I dont even know if he considers me that way anymore. Would it be bad to send one to him?

This is my third Valentines Day with my girlfriend. The first year I rented a hotel room and made her do a scavenger hunt to lead her to the hotel room. She told me it was the best Valentines Day ever. Last year we where going to go to the beach, but her grand mother died, and we could not go. So we had a normal valentines day, I put gifts and roses in her room and went out to dinner. This year I rented a hotel room in the same hotel as the 1st year, but I did the “romantic getaway package” which is breakfast for 2, chocolate strawberries and champagne. Lately she has been “bored with our relationship. I want it to be more memorable than the 1st year and nothing repeated. What can I do this year?

I have been with the same guy for four years and we don't really celebrate Valintines Day, but this year he is going all out and has been giving me little gifts everyday for the past 5 days. I want to get him something romantic but I don't know what that is. What do I get a guy that says I love you but isn't too girly. And it has to be a resonable price.?????

Okay, here goes: we met during her and her boyfriend's off period, but I only got to know her a little while before they decided to "give it one last try". We're good friends and talk every day, and I know he's not going to do much for her for V-Day. I want to get her and her sister a spa package, just to be nice (sister's too young for me, and I don't want her to have to go alone).

Plus, it helps make the crappy boyfriend look bad. ;-)

Tell me what you think, ladies. Good idea, or bad idea?

I normally don't mess with "taken" ladies, and I have no problems getting dates, but she is definitely worth having some patience.
