We are celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus; Christmas. From the time we were born until our children decide to spend the holiday with their "family," we have enjoyed this holiday with family. Now, many of us are alone on holidays. My friends and me who do not have relatives enjoy the holiday no matter what. Sure, at first it was hard to get used to but God reminded us that we are not to live for worldly lusts. Our only goal is to worship as the Lord wants. Material posessions and worldly humans are of the Lord but we are not to want any worldly posession. Do you understand that you should not feel sorry for us who spend the holidays alone. I feel blessed that I am blessed. Do you feel sorry for those alone?

while we are still sober .... we have both started on the cooking sherry and in a few hours' time we shall be slumped head first in the Christmas pudding, out for the count. So while we can still type *hic* we say Merry *hic* Christmas!! everyone

My reason? Turkey is in oven and I am trying to kill time and not think about all I have to do to try and bring Xmas dinner to the table ... I might hit the cooking sherry later in a fit of panic.

I am with you in my thoughts. Try to keep yourself occupied. christmas is now nothing but commericalism just to break up the cold winter. Enjoy your tv and make something nice for yourself to eat and I will sit by you and talk to you so you dont feel alone.

Cheer up Friend. We are with you on Yahoo. And think how much better off you are than those poor buggers who have to endure the Wifes family.......and all the money they have had to spend on useless presents. It will take some of them months to pay off the Visa people........you're better off.
