I've read about a new DVD that traces the pagan origins, history and rituals of Halloween. The occult rituals seen in this film are real and not re-enactments. This dramatic documentary may change many opinions on Halloween!

My boss thinks it would be a good idea for charity to dress as a film star. Im 20, long Blonde Hair, UK size 12.

Thing is I park down the road from work and dont want to look really stupid walking from the car park!

Okay, I'm carving my first pumpkin this year and I want it to be really nice. I've got a stencil and everything, but I had a question about how I'm supposed to cut the top of the pumpkin. All the websites I've been to said to carve the top into a hexagon, so it doesn't fall in, but I still think it might fall in. Is there any other thing you can do while carving the hexagon to make sure the pumpkin top doesn't fall in???

If this is true, then why do Catholics who teach RCIA feel that this is an event that one should dress up in costume for? I believe the proper teaching would be to explain how the date was changed for All Hallows Eve to this date, because of the original pagan holiday. Is it right to paly into the hands of the satanic witches, etc?

Here are the ideas my friend and I have for Halloween this year. We are two 13 year old girls. We were siamese twins last year and want to have a better costume this year! Which do you like best. Comments welcome... thanks!!! =]

#1- Peace and quiet. (One person is a hippie and the other is a mime)

#2- Thing on and thing two (From the Cat in the hat)

#3- Sick and tired (We are both in bath robes. One with a tissue box and a red nose the other with a pillow and dark bags under the eyes)

#4- Hawaiin Punch ( One person is a boxer and the other is a hula girl)

What do you think. Any other ideas welcome too!!!

It seems to me that a lot of women these days use Halloween as an excuse to dress trashy. You see costumes that are obviously designed to be skimpy, and that's one thing... But - I see girls walking around in skimpy, trashy clothes with a pair of devil horns on and they say "Oh, I'm a devil. A SEXY devil." To me, it just seems like a girl can dress anyway she wants without fear of being called a name, just because its Halloween. However, just because its Halloween, doesn't make it any less slutty.

i would like to celebrate samhain, but I have to work, so I suggested a "Halloween party" at work, but my store manager said that the holiday was frivilous and meaningless, and that really upset me. I would like to educate her more about my belief system. I'm still planning to have a celebration at work, for fun and eduational purposes, and I need suggestions on what food to bring ( I'm not just the only pagan at work, but I'm also the only vegan too.) I'm thinking about bringing vegan apple cider cupcakes, but I'm not sure on what else to bring.
