i'm gonna go as capt. crunch for halloween and can't find any hats or jackets like his. if you have any ideas on how to make them, that would be greatly appreciated also. thank you.

The hat you will HAVE to make yourself. I think you should cut it out of cardboard, paint it blue and make the gold C. Then just tape it to a regular hat.
As far as the coat, get a regular blue coat from a thrift store. The brighter blue the better. Then go to an arts and crafts store and get some bright gold drapery cording. You can glue stripes on the coat. Put 2 drapery tassels on the shoulders. Perhaps a gold ribbon glued as stripes on the wrists.
The gold on top of the hat is optional. Some pics have it and some dont.
FABULOUS IDEA. quite creative.
