What are her favorite books? When I was little I loved the book 'The very hungry catipillar'. A catipillar would be an adorable costume ^_^ If you have to make it yourself, you could just sew some legs (little peices of fabric filled with stuffing) onto the sides of a long tie-dye t-shirt or gown and make some antennas on a hair band out of pipe cleaners.

Good luck!

Simple. "Two-dimensional characters" isn't to be taken literally. It's a saying. It basically means this: In stories and literature, a well rendered fictional character will seem like a real and believable person to you. They are a person you can relate to, and you can imagine them like a real 3-dimentional person. If poorly written or developed, the character will not be convincing to you, as if the person is like a cardboard cutout, and therefore "2-dimensional". Apparently you've read a review, and their opinion of the characterization in Oscar Wilde's "Picture of Dorian Gray" was poor.

If i had to make a bet, I would say that there will be a TON of harry potter characters. It would be really cute to do anything from Dr. Sues, you could do a Cindy Loo who. ( My favorite idea) Maybe Mother Goose herself? That would be cute too.

snow white, peter pan, cinderella, lucy from charlie brown, belle from beauty and the beast, dorothy from wizard of oz, one of the 3 little pigs, a dalmation, robin hood, captain hook, tweedle dee or tweedle dum, jane from tarzan, minnie mouse. Also I would coordinate with the other parents to see what their little ones are dressing up as she doesn't copy another child.
