I'm not dropping in now, I am ccomming down in a parachute and am holding an American flag, with R.I.P. on it. PASTOR FRED PHELPS, of the Westoro Baptist Church. I saw the post, and before I begin, let me say:this is not about whether or not we should be fighting in Iraq or Afghasistan, this is not about Christianity verese another other beliefs. Please do not post answers on this subject. This is about the DISGUSTING behaviour, of a Baptist Minister and his followers, turning up, to demonstrate at the funerals of American killed in the line of duty in a war zone. Any war zone. Because in their "tiny and twisted" minds, they have somehow come to the conclusion that God is judging America,(And the other countries who are involved as well), by killing their troups because of tolerating gay people. I read the post, and then read the article, and a horrible nausea hit my stomach. In my mind I saw the pain, of the families, grieving over the loss of a loved one, and in addition to that.

I had an eccles (sort of) cake this morning and one thought led to another, about recent media coverage and how we are told not to eat this or that because we'll die if we do, have to be a specified weight and size because we'll die if we're not, must achieve certain goals, grades or statistics etc. because...
All of this adds up to STRESS and depression, which makes us eat and do all the 'don'ts' - forbidden fruit is so tempting!

Shouldn't we be able to live, eat and do what makes us happy, providing it doesn't adversely affect other peoples health and well being?

I think without all the stress most of us would settle down and be healthier and happier.

Do you have interracial children?
Has your family accepted this?

I was married to a white man and we have one child together and the family was really cool with this. My oldest daughter is also biracial and his family did have a problem with it.

Do you think someone should be promoted, given a job, or aid based solely on race, sex, or a handicap to meet a quota.

Here is a quote from Ray Nagin, the mayor of New Orleans, a government official.

"On Monday, Nagin said God wanted New Orleans to be predominantly black and said he didn't care what the predominantly white Uptown section of the city had to say about it."

'"I don't care what people are saying Uptown or wherever they are. This city will be chocolate at the end of the day," he said. "This city will be a majority African-American city. It's the way God wants it to be."'

How come he was not forced to resign after making remarks like that? Don Imus made a degratory remark about black women basketball players from a certain university and was forced to resign (he's coming back by the way). What Imus said is not nearly as racist as what Nagin said and Nagin is a public official.

There is a witch hunt going on in this country rooting out only white people that have made certain remarks.

Or do you do it throughout the year? Which do you do?
I do mine throughout the year. If I find something someone
would like, I buy it. What about you?

Lately, 2 of the US shows degraded my Filipino race. One was from the tv series Desperate Housewives where Teri Hatcher had delivered this line: "....not from any Philippine Medical Schools."

Second was an interview with Josh Hartnett from a talk show where the host said--Filipinos don't know how to speak English (who doesn't know how to speak English language now?).

Lastly, I also saw from our local news that a Filipino was kicked out from a US store because the sales person sees Filipino race as freakin' maids!

Do you really think this is fair? Besides, isn't it a big HYPOCRISY?!
