Lately, 2 of the US shows degraded my Filipino race. One was from the tv series Desperate Housewives where Teri Hatcher had delivered this line: "....not from any Philippine Medical Schools."

Second was an interview with Josh Hartnett from a talk show where the host said--Filipinos don't know how to speak English (who doesn't know how to speak English language now?).

Lastly, I also saw from our local news that a Filipino was kicked out from a US store because the sales person sees Filipino race as freakin' maids!

Do you really think this is fair? Besides, isn't it a big HYPOCRISY?!

For me racism is to ignore. The racist are just the lower IQ, frustrated/desperate/inferior people. Money, power, looks are just enjoyed for now because you are still breathing and healthy, but when a cancer, accident or a morbid disease will hit you, who needs your money but the hospital for your palliative treatment. So your power, your wealth are useless because you are now bedridden. Whether you are white, brown or black skin, we wrinkle our skin the same way any individual on earth does. Maybe some race think they are more superior amongst others because they speak english well, their country is wealthy, they have fair skin. If they are really humane, intelligent, they should accept anyone's race fairly. If this race for example is known to be online scammers, hijackers, corrupt, never think that all of the citizens in that country do they same thing the bad minorites do. If a filipino is heard to be housemaids (question, do they hurt and kill others that they are maltreated and belittled?) That is one decent job serving the lazy people.) If a fair skin works as a janitor in his country and a brown skin janitor too in his country, that would mean they have the same level in the society. So if by chance they meet and work in the caucasian's country, so the fair skin thinks he should have better wage and feels more superior because he is white and speak english fluently that the brown race can't. But to think they have same position and probably the brown skin does better work and is more productive. That is one great discrimination if there's a difference of wage. That should never happen to anyone especially if they have religion. So, never generalize but individualize. Anybody are entitled to be treated equally regardless of race, religion and kind of work as long as you don't cross the line: 1) don't harm/kill/destroy anyone, don't cheat with grave offense overriding other people's rights/properties/lives, don't show good example to the young people. Any race has each own drawbacks. We can name few that will really show that we are all equal, no difference except color, language and beliefs. I could say, people who discriminate should live in the desert like a hermit, away from people, deserves to be a loner and wait till he dies of boredom, anger/hate, probably psyche-egocentricism problem because he can't mingle and accept and treat people with respect as they are. He can't be happy with his life unless he can criticize, hurt, harm others. He should go back to where he belongs, nowhere, floating in his mother's womb and renew as a whole person if he wants to live again. Asians, Europeans, Americans, Africans, Middle-Easterns, etc, all race are equally the same, they eat, they poop and die with and without warning.

I have been discriminated against for being from the southern US, being a woman and once for being white. You are just experiencing the same or similar that others do in the US, or in the world.
