I think its about males of all persuations getting more in touch with themselves these days. Personaly I think the term or label gay does a big diservice to all males. Most men avoid delving into aspects of each others company because of the political attachment of the term gay. Its just a bad discreption of what it is. Bag the term and the label. History is riddled with groups of men loyal to each other and not thinking anything of it but it being natural. Part of normal male life. We somehow have taken that aspect out of masculine lives and placed it into a sub male/masculine world called "gay". Not that that is true by any means. Gay gives one the image of happiness, clowns, flippant people just having a great time talking and behaving less masculine. Masculine males can enjoy each others company. My answer is a believe men are ditching labels and trying not to gauge themselves by someone elses view of themselves. Its all about private lives and living to ones fullest. Take "gay" out of the vocabulary and take our sexuality out of the political spot light. I don't want my happiness and sexuality being a political cause.

I think it certainly is slowly becoming more accepted, whether or not it will ever be fully accepted is a different story.

I think it's a bit of both actually. It's somewhat more accepted, but there's a lot of "curiosity" involved as well. Both on the part of the GLBT community itself as well as the straight community who doesn't understand and is seeking to get straight answers. (No pun intended.)

I think that some people don't care what anyone else does. They just don't want to have to see it in action. I don't think it is any more accepted than before, but people are immune to the hype and sensationalism.

Well it seems like we have moved forward since the middle ages. But we still have a lot more to go. Some people seem to be going backwards though.

I think if we didn't have our own little section it would be more accepted.

But I like it here, anyway. :-)

think about it... straight people get every category they need. Every homosexual issue gets lumped into one category. Shouldn't there just be categories for sex and gender issues, in general? How can we be accepted as one if we keep splitting ourselves up?
