I am a 33-year-old Hearing person. I am going to school to become a Social Worker and I am taking ASL as a foreign language.

I am thankfully having many of my misconceptions about Deaf Culture shattered and learning a whole lot more than just sign language.

I am appalled at the state of education for Deaf people, attitudes of Non-Deaf people, and many other things I am learning, which I never knew existed. I am personally ashamed that I never knew most of this existed.

If you are Deaf, what are your personal thoughts about Hearing people and their thoughts, attitudes, and misconceptions about Deaf Culture?

The Pope have already said that he is "deeply sorry" about his comments about Islam, and he really do not mean it. I believe that the Pope is deeply sincere with his apology. Muslims killed a NUN, burned churches, shoot & killed Christians sporadically because of this comments and no Christians retaliate against Muslims. But now, Muslims are vowing to wage WAR against all "cross worshippers". If all Christians can not take this anymore, and WAR is inevitable between Christians and Muslims, I would say that ALL Muslims are responsible because you did not do anything to prevent this kind of provocation. Muslims will not do anything unless they were the one who is being harm.

...of Manuel II Paleologo to be not far from the truth by their violent reactions to it? Just one case in point. The execution of a nun at the Somali hospital in Nairobi, Kenya?

hi,
Even though I am not a Moslem, christian. Do you think what pope has commented is correct. Every religion has their own sentiments. Not all the moslems are terrorists. I have many decent moslem friends who care for humans. A hand full of religious moslem terrorist make proverty ridden moslems to terrorist. It is the society to take care of the under previlaged moslems. ( but take care when you are helping them ).

My current girlfriend and an ex girlfriend have both cried after I gave them an orgasm. They cry not because it is a bad thing; they both said they cried because it was good. So, I guess my question is: Is this normal? Do a lot of people out there cry when they have good sex? It kinda makes me feel weird. What do you think about this?

there's this gal in skool tt i run into often. most of e times she juz stares at me intensely. if she runs into mi friends (esp mi best friend), she'll smile at them. e pt is she doesnt noe them. she rarely smiles at me, stares at me like laser beams instead.

this gal also makes it a pt to walk really near me if she happens to chance upon me. she likes to eavesdrop mi conversation wif mi friends.

sometimes she'll just walk really near me look at me & walk away when i dunt react to her. mi friends say tt she might be interested in me but i'm not veri sure.

btw we do talk occassionally but most of e time i either annoy her or i get pissed off by her passiveness. is it more than juz coincidence tt we run into each other everywhere in skool?

I am sure you all will agree with me that women tend to shed more tears. Are they more touchy than men? Or is it that they, unlike men folk, experience anything so poignantly that they live 100% up to that emotion. Or is a technique of higher adaptability?! You know when you cry, you can easily come over that tragedy. You feel fresh--a good catharsis, perhaps. Whatever, i'm bemused........pls answer me
