This may sound stupid but can someone explain to me the difference between transgender and a crossdresser? I choose to dress in womens cloths sometimes but i still only want to date women. Which way did i go?

Well there are Transgenders (aka Trans sexuals), those who actually want to change their gender of origin.

Transvestites, those who dress in women's clothing because they feel it's more suiting.

Drag Queens, those who Glam it up in women's formal wear for performance sake.

and Crossdressers who usually only dress in women's clothing in private. Either as a fettish or as a private desire.

transgender is when you feel you should have been born a women (if your a man) and vis versa if ya a women. Crossdresser is when you only dress as a women when your doing a act on stage or when you go out but still want to be a man.

Transgender want to actually become women through medical procedures. You sound more as though you are a transvestite.

You are then a crossdresser, not a transgender.

I'm not sure but I think you're just a cross-dresser.
I'm pretty sure transgender means you want to
physically/anatomically change your sex from man to woman
or vice versa.

I propose instead of figuring out the label that fits you best, try to figure yourself out and just do what you want. Don't worry too much about labels that much. If you've figured out who you are and would like to apply a label to sumarize yourself, just look at the semi-standard definitions and apply what works for you. Heck, I define myself as a queer genderqueer transsexual woman.

at this point you are probabally still a CD. but this can change as you grow in your life experiences. i think one of the most misunderstood aspects of gender are the many different lables there are. although that statement could apply to all humans
