I am sure you all will agree with me that women tend to shed more tears. Are they more touchy than men? Or is it that they, unlike men folk, experience anything so poignantly that they live 100% up to that emotion. Or is a technique of higher adaptability?! You know when you cry, you can easily come over that tragedy. You feel fresh--a good catharsis, perhaps. Whatever, i'm bemused........pls answer me

its because men think logically, they see what happens, analyze it, then come to a conclusion

women think through emotions. they see what happens and then they think about how it makes them feel if it makes them feel bad they cry

Women, for the most part, are more emotional than our male counterparts. We carry emotion over into anything we do.....that being said, some women do have a "technique" and cry when they want to cry....ya know, just for the show, to get someone else to feel sorry or bad for them. My sister is a prime example of that...even to this day and she is 33. She can shed tears on the spot.

Woman are emotional nurtchers who have a different chemical make up than most straight men. The hormone levels in the body causes different emotional reactions than men and more often leads to the shedding of tears. Emotion is a negative factor in the day to day dealings with life but it is through that emotion we achieve the greatest ecstasy and the worst pain.

I think I read this in Newsweek a couple years back, but boys are taught by fathers, male teachers, even older male siblings, that crying and showing emotion is not okay. We don't do this intentionally, but boys grow up learning that emotions are girly. They don't have as many emotion-related words in their vocabulary, and they avoid eye contact with other people more than girl children.

I learned as a child somewhat the same thing, that crying during an argument, or showing some kind of "weak" emotion can make you appear weaker to an enemy during a confrontation. I don't cry in public when I can help it, and I refuse to enter into situations where I might be overcome with emotions(read: I avoid funerals, memorial services). It wasn't a conscious decision I made, but I still view the showing of emotion to be a sign of weak self control.

This might be directly answering ur question but it will give u a fair idea.

A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?"

"Because I'm a woman," she told him.

"I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will."

Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?"

"All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.

Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, "God, why do women cry so easily?"

God said: "When I made the woman she had to be special.

I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort.

I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.

I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.

I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.

I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.

I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.

And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed."

"You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides."

as a female i have asked this question of many men, they usuallly tell me that they are told from a very young age that MEN DONT CRY, so they learn to suppress it, ive seen this in my little nephews who have seen more than any child should with regards to violence etc
this is sad because a good cry is incredibly healing
although I have seen many grown men cry in private they would hate anyone to know
men do feel and cry just the same as women but they are taught not too basically.
Feminism gave women equal rights surely that applies to men being allowed to express emotion?

thats something which men when young are conditioned not to since they are male .

yeah definitely but its a momentary and temporary catharsis .

that's the natural stress antidote they've developed due to the lack of conditioning of boys style .

you're a boy or male , a man ! yoiu shouldh't be crying ! kind of stuff we hear from our parents and elders

Because they can and can get away with it more easily. That's a shame too.....society has done that to us. Would be better if men could cry as openly as women. Happy Monday

I agree with you. Its main cause is that women are timid and their vocal sound is heavy.see the magic after alot of crying they become bold.
