I'm looking for the examples about newly developed land which sit idle. Could you give me some examples?

For example, In the wikipedia's explanation about industrial park, there is the following sentence
"During the 1970s to 1990s, there was a glut of industrial park development in the United States, resulting today in vast areas of industrial parks that sit idle and unsuited to other uses".

Would you name one or two?

just simple brain drain of engineers, doctors, information technology people, scientists etc. , a big % of people are Indians, Chinese and from other countries working in US
why are US people so hopeless in all vocational fields , are they lazy and lathargic or they are not having any good brains there, so they have to rely on other countries people and resources for their prosperity.

Recently I asked how people felt about a national sales tax to replace the current IRS system of payroll/income taxes. Someone mentioned a flat tax system - I was wondering how a flat tax system could benefit the working poor and the middle class ? Would it be better for them , or would it just save the rich more money ?

Because my friend keeps pushing this **** on me that communism is better that capitalism. I beg to differ. I'd rather have a balance of both peace and freedom with capitalism rather than give up one for the other with communism. Look at rural China, now tell me would communism work for Canada? I need your opinions because I strongly disagree.

I noticed some changes in the currency over the last year, like in Australia, the American dollar was selling from $0.60 (approx) to $0.88.

However, no matter the changes, the goods imported never seem to differ in price. In fact, they only go up!

Why?
