Especially now since we are going towrds or are already in arecesion ? Given Mexico buys about $114,206.00 millions of dollars from the US.

Mexico buys more from the US than France, Germany and the U.K. together.

it would affect the US on a grand scale! more residents would cross the borders into the US, as well as businesses fleeing from the crisis. the US business that moved factories there would relocate back to the US. i think it would have good and bad affects equally.

Much of the Imports to Mexico is due to US companies outsourced production to Mexico and then re- importing the goods to US markets, so the loss of buying power in Mexico would not be as important as the trade figures would seem to indicate. However it would cause problem for the financial sector in the US much like the home mortgage crisis is doing now.
