just simple brain drain of engineers, doctors, information technology people, scientists etc. , a big % of people are Indians, Chinese and from other countries working in US
why are US people so hopeless in all vocational fields , are they lazy and lathargic or they are not having any good brains there, so they have to rely on other countries people and resources for their prosperity.

It's an open society here, friend. People w/ marketable skills are, for the most part, allowed here to better their economic standing. As for lazy and lethargic -- it's cheaper to export our lesser skilled jobs to other countries that have large, cheap labor pools. It's a cross-utilization issue driven by economics. For the record, it isn't clear to me that globalization is all that great for the majority of Americans--it benefits a relative few. Then again, I'm predominately an Isolationist at heart. I wish we'd focus our efforts and money on our homefront and our own problems. But, that won't happen as long as corporate leaders look to global labor markets to reduce costs and increase sales. It would take a different social-political-economic climate. In the end, I'm w/ you mate -- I wish we'd have stayed at home.

Simple! A college graduate wit an engineering degree wanta $60,000 or better right out of college. A US trained doctor spends 8 years in college and 6 to 8 years as a hospital intern and resident at practically no pay. Once a staff member they want $250,000 or better (Not so fast! I have a doctor in my family. He pays $160,000 a year in malpractice insurance and receives no salary as he volunteers his experience at the University of Washington Medical Center. Nor is he by any means wealthy. In fact his malpractice insurance is paid for by working in Latin American countries for Doctors without partners. And his home in Seattle is worth less tan $250,000 when te average is somewhat over $325K))
But people from India, Pakistan,China and elsewhere will work in the US for even under $20,000 a year. They just want to be here. And will take te low pay yet rise upward within a few years. At my VA hospital, the majority of doctors are from the Philippines. They are working for about 1/3rd the pay of US doctors. They are very good, except for a couple complaints. They are hard to understand or talk to sometimes and they talk to themselves as they translate their language to English and back.

The US was populated by people from other countries who came here for opportunities they could not get at home. There are long waiting list of people wanting to come. Why should engineers, doctors, information technology people, scientists be different, and why should we not welcome them as we do less skilled immigrants. Ten percent of our population is foreign born. A better question is why the native countries do not offer better opportunities for these people.

Would you use ur own stuff, if you could use someone else's stuff? And tell me, exactly who was it that said our people couldn't do all those things you said? You better be able to back up what you say or otherwise you're nothing but a blow-hard liar. Projecting on others what you really are and do or do not do. What IS your profession as a matter of fact? Are you a newspaper HACK that has went as far as he can...

Because in many instances they will do the work for 70% of what a citizen will. Same thing applies to Production, Warehousing, Agriculture, Dishwashing ect. It's really across the board. And for the Immigrant it's often better than they would get n their homeland as far as pay is concerned.
What it boils down to is simply corporations looking for ways to reduce operating costs.

We use their resources, they use ours. This is called trade, and it's beneficial to both parties.
