I want to buy a clock kit, but use a small bike gear for the pendulum (it's going to be a bike-themed clock for my bike crazy husband). I expect that the gear will be heavier than the piece that comes with the clock, so I'm wondering if that will cause the clock to be inaccurate or the little motor to fail.

I have read that the velocity of light has been decreasing since the beginning of the universe. If I start travelling at .999 times the present velocity of light and after certain time, the velocity of light decreases beyond this value, would we be travelling faster than light then?

We often refer to air pressure as the weight of air directly above our heads. But we typically do not "feel" this weight. Why? Since air surrounds our bodies, and all things, the pressure, as a result of the air, is applied equally on all sides. For example, if someone holds an 8½x11" sheet of paper by their hand at arms length, the weight of the air directly above the sheet is over 1,300 pounds.

Obviously the paper does not weight that much. Why? That same pressure (14.7 pounds per squar inch) is also pressing up on the bottom side of the paper. The equal pressure on all side cancel each other out so all that is left is the weight of the matrerial that comprises the paper.

How is the same pressure pressing up beneath the paper. Does this pressure act against gravity?

After reading these when you will come under his spell then3)go to a science library& collect a copy of the book"COLLECTED PAPERS BY SRINIVAS RAMANUJAN"-the works he did in a very very brief period when staying at LONDON(1914-1919).Though you(& also I) will not enjoy the last one because as J.NEUMANN(MAKER OF MODERN COMPUTER)said"ONLY FIRST CLASS MATHEMATICIAN CAN FOLLOW HIM(RAMANUJAN)".Now comeback here.Full name of RAMANUJAN was SRINIVAS AIYANGAR RAMANUJAN was borne in a very poor family of Erode of Madras in INDIA on 22nd December of1887& died on26th April of 1920.In his all too brief carrier what he did is almost equivalent to any of the great mathematician's life long work.HE did such a monumental amount of works in such a brief time that the adjective GENIUS seems a little less for him.Once NEVILLE(mathematican) told about him"WHAT RAMANUJAN DID IN THE LAST YEAR OF HIS LIFE IF ANY ONE CAN DO HALF OF IT IN HIS WHOLE LIFE WE CALL HIM A BRILLANT MATHEMATICIAN"(continued on PART-3).
